Laser distance sensors are ideal for non-contact distance measurement and thickness measurement, and surface profiling. It is common to integrate a laser displacement sensor into in-process thickness and distance measurement applications.

We distribute laser distance sensors that measure short ranges with ultimate precision and long ranges up to 500m with milimeter accuracy. Many of our customers place the Laser Sensors on the factory floor under typical production conditions, so their ruggedness is proven.
Our PMS200 series long tange laser sensor is extremely versatile. We have placed the long range laser distance sensor in a wide variety of measurment applications:
by or simple programs, such as HyperTerminal. A Laser Displacement Sensor can also be coupled with a digital display or any of our PC data acquisition software applications for in-process measurement. Most of our laser distance sensors are equipped with digitial I/O for alarming.
The laser triangulation sensors are all CCD/CMOS based devices that use digital signal processor (DSP) technology.
Resolution can be as small as 0.16 µm with a measuring range of 3 mm to a resolution of 64 µm and a measuring range of 1.3 meters. Laser triangulation lasers are known for speed and accuracy. They have the smallest laser spots and are ideal for multiple laser systems, in which a pair of lasers must be used together to deterimien thickness, width, or diamater.
Our laser triangulation lasers provide superior performance overall to the traditional position sensing device (PSD) type sensors that once dominated the market.
Our PMS200 series laser distance sensor operates on a principle called phase shift. The laser signal is reflected directly back to the device. This laser is extremely versatile and can measure on a variety of surfaces. It can measure as close as 2 inches from the face of the laser up to 500 meters away with millimeter accuracy. Distances over 65m usually require a special refelctive plate affixed to the target.
These lasers can be placed far from a target to keep the laser out of harms way in industrial applications and are IP65 rated for environmental ruggedness. The PMS200 laser can be provided with a variety of brackets, cables, and enclosures to enhance performance.
