DIS Sensors offers a configuration tool for its QG40N series of inclination sensors and tilt switches. As their North American distributor, this enables Laser-View Technologies to do a few things:
- Set specific parameters for customers
- Maintain stock of the most popular DIS Sensor models
- Make quick deliveries (thanks to not having to wait on longer lead times from the factory)
Customers may ask for a +/-10° inclination sensor, but we only have a +/-30° sensor in stock. The raw performance of a 10° sensor is no different than a 30° sensor, so we simply modify the configuration. This allows us to provide sensors from stock quickly.
Other parameters, such as filtering, time delays, alarm limits, and hysteresis also can be adjusted this way. This allows us a lot of ability to customize each sensor for any application.
