A number of warehouses utilize automated ASRS Systems for moving pallets into storage positions and for lifting pallets from the storage positions to ground level. To help detect the height from ground level, Dimetix laser sensors can be easily integrated on the Z axis of an ASRS Crane.
At these distances, Dimetix lasers do not need a special target and they are well suited because of their speed, target agonistic behavior, and variety of outputs used in the ASRS industry. In addition to SSI encoder output, the lasers include industrial Ethernet communications.
Dimetix lasers can also be used on ASRS Cranes in freezer warehouses. This is because of their operating temperature range of -40°C up to +60°C.
