One of Laser-View Technologies’ customers, who uses our QR40EMN rotary sensor in their equipment, recently inquired about the same sensor, but in a Class 1, Div 2 hazardous-rated package. Although this is not available from off the shelf, DIS Sensors had made a similar device before and we made an offer for a UL Class 1, Div 2 Version.
Applications needing Ex-proof sensors are unique in that they usually need to house the sensor in a bulky heavy enclosure. With DIS Sensors, this is not a requirement.
