Laser-View Technologies’ Crane Sentry® low profile side pull sensors can mount to wire rope hoists in a variety of ways. For example, they can easily mount to both single and dual reeved hoists. There are many different types of hoists available today, and we are always learning about new configurations.
When we mount these side pull sensors, we attach them to one of the following locations:
- On the dead end of a single reeved hoist
- On the side of the equalizer sheave
- On the equalizer bar of a dual reeved hoist
We have learned that Konecrane’s dual reeved true vertical lift hoists often have 2 dead ends, one located on each rope. These are a convenient spot for mounting the Crane Sentry® side pull sensors.
