Laser-View Technologies’ President, Steven Lubeck, will be hosting three presentations at AISTech 2023:

  1. Collision Detection: Safety Improvements to High-Bay/Low-Bay Overhead Cranes
  2. Minimizing Downtime on Wire Rope Hoists via Proper Vertical Lifting
  3. Non-Contact Laser Sensor Suitability for Steel Production

In “Collision Detection: Safety Improvements to High-Bay/Low-Bay Overhead Cranes”, Steven will outline the safety risks involved in using two cranes on a dual-elevation runway. He will discuss common techniques available for detecting and preventing overhead crane snags and collisions in such arrangements. This presentation will be held on May 8th from 2 – 2:30 PM.

Additionally, on May 8th, Steven will be presenting “Minimizing Downtime on Wire Rope Hoists via Proper Vertical Lifting” from 4 – 4:30 PM. This presentation will cover available techniques to prevent hazards and severe consequences caused by wire hoist side loading. He will discuss a range of strategies that can effectively limit side loading without compromising productivity, and how companies can mitigate safety risks in the process.

Steven will also be presenting “Non-Contact Laser Sensor Suitability for Steel Production” on Wednesday, May 10th from 8 – 8:30 AM. This presentation discusses performance requirements for laser sensors in various areas of steel mills in addition to methods of enhancing performance under harsh conditions.
