mobile medical chairQ-tec uses DIS Sensors QG30 (1-axis) and QG40 (2-axis) tilt sensors for control of their Baroc model mobile operation chairs. The QG series of sensors were chosen because of their compact size, accuracy, ease of integration, and cost-effectiveness.

Q-Tec describes the chair as: “equipped with electrically controlled drive assistance” and “designed for bariatric and general surgery, gynecology, urology and robotic surgery.”

Other sensor options were initially considered, but DIS Sensors provided the most flexibility in mounting options for the overall design without the necessity for gearing and shaft encoders.
