Brandywine Robotics VEXMEN Team 91C Cyclops were named High School Division Qualifier Tournament Champions at Parkland High School in Allentown last weekend. The team won the championship through a combination of a 2nd place overall finish in the tournament skills competition and by winning the tournament Excellence Award, the highest award presented in VEX Robotics Competitions.

Over 30 VEX robotics teams squared off January 6, 2018 at Parkland High School in Allentown, PA in the High School Division Qualifier competition. During the skills competition teams competed in the 2017-2018 VEX Robotics challenge titled In the Zone, which tests the ability of a team’s robot to build stacks of traffic pylon-like cones and place them in various scoring zones on a 12′ x 12′ playing field.

In addition to their strong finish in the skills competition, the Team 91C Cyclops earned the Excellence Award based on evaluation in multiple categories: tournament ranking, programming skills, and performance in all other award categories.
